Monday, May 14, 2007 ![]() woah..the Vocation Retreat over the weekend was really rejuvenating! i'd recommend it to anyone...and also i'd like to aid in dispelling the notion that "Vocation" means merely the Priesthood. sure, it's a camp conducted especially for this purpose, but there's no pressure at all to sign up with the seminary or anything. If anything i've learned how amazing the life of a priest is..I was really inspired by the talks given by the priests, sharing with us their own life experiences, and also the sharings with the seminarians (the brothers undergoing 'training' to become priests) themselves. we really got the chance to share and interact with them on a very personal level. It would be really amazing in future to meet with Father Jovita and Father Andrew Stephens (fr Malaysia), God willing. (they're still Bro. Jovita and Bro. Andrew, for now, but i'll be praying for them to go all the way. becoming His priest is truly a humbling vocation - many are called but few are chosen; or is it more a case of many being called but few responded? hmmm.. well, for me personally I can truly say that I feel inspired to serve His people. Whether as a priest or as a lay person, that I'd have to wait to see what His calling is for me. But as Mr. Jonah clearly demonstrated for us (with the help of a rather large fish), when God calls, there's no running from it! :D raneth hopped off at 7:46 am
