Wednesday, November 02, 2005 yay. another whole week off from national service.. borrowed a couple of books from the library - my imagination's been starving the past few weeks! a good dose of crichton and maybe clancey should dolve the trick. i'm trying to learn to play the guitar too - although i'm not having much progress in that department, mostly i guess from a lack of motivation/resilience/determination(or simply, the heart) to practice. ha.
i'm also trying to up my fitness level: i'm aiming to be able to complete a full marathon by the time i graduate from uni, and maybe take part in another vertical marathon as well..perhaps this time i can get to the top without walking :) yup, i guess that's just me. lot's of dreams and aspirations, but hardly any effort put into attaining my goals. i probably need to start prioritising.. time management.. that sort of thing. yea. oh, and i think i've finally decided what i'm gonna do with my life i.e. future career. i think i should be a geography teacher. it's a subject i've always had interest in, and i've had some pretty inspiring teachers along the way - geog. teachers especially. other reasons for my choice? well, it's an "iron rice bowl" - teachers hardly get retrenched..i think; geog's also a very diverse subject: not too specific like say, chemistry or physics..or so i think. yup. and it's a good balance between the arts (human geog: studying various levels of development in different countries, their cultures etc) and science (phy geog: tectonic movements, natural phenomena like earthquakes and flooding) yea..that's geography. i suppose there's probably more to it then just that, but really the scope covered at the "O" and "A" level has already kept me more than intrigued... raneth hopped off at 12:16 pm
