nothing particularly inspiring to blog abt today...i think..except for maybe one thing worthy of mention..

our choir was really blessed today (and everyday, but especially today) 'cos and ol' friend of mine volunteered to play the organ for us..he's none other than Desmond Seah - the Original (as edward might put it) "Champion of champions".(i'll elaborate more on this later..) i've known him since st. michael's - we were classmates in pri 5C, and 6C too. then again at SJI we were classmates in sec 3a4 n 4a4..sigh, pity that after i went to CJC and he went to SAJC, we sorta lost touch

well, but as luck (and not discounting divine intervention, literally too) would have it, i've crossed paths with my buddy once more! so glad to see him again - the memories of our childhood, from attending each others' birthday parties to the several 'mini-feuds' we've had (even on one occasion getting into trouble with the principal over a fight!) are all flooding back..

ok. now on the 'Champion of champions' bit. the reason why i call him that is cause ever since i've been old enough to rationalise (which was maybe sometime in sec sch..) i've admired the way this fella carries himself. truly upright, he's practically the epitome of 'virtuous'. yea, yea..he's my buddy and all, so maybe i may sound a little biased, but really, once u've met the guy u'd find it hard to disagree. always humble abt his many achievements (whether academic, or in the field of music - since st mich's he'd already been playing for school masses, assemblys..u name it) and very generous with his time for others..as far as i know, as long as he could help a person he'd be more than willing to.

these are two of his main qualities, that, over the years, i've learned were worthy of emulating. also his capacity for self-restraint and control.. (which made him a more than deserving Head-Prefect back in st mic's - having been his deputy, it's still in my mind)it takes a lot to make him flare up; to show even the slightest hint of frustration..

i could go on and on about this great guy whom i'm glad to have as a friend, but it's getting late..guess the best way i can show my appreciation is to keep in contact with him. most ppl who've met him would probably agree with me..friends like these are quite hard to come by.
