Today started out pretty crabby...

got back the last of my prelim results..chem. finally, a silver lining as i turned in a 64, which is a B grade. yep, i guess dats a pretty good reflection of my study pattern for the weeks leading up to the prelims.."B", "E" and "D"...the place i spent most of the time others were mugging ;)

3.15pm: finally left the house for the polyclinic..been burning up at home sleeping on the couch, huddled under a blanket..sheesh..i bet a thermometer would have melted in my mouth w/o much resistance..took the MRT to amk, one stop away..(beats waiting for the darn 162 tt always takes an eternity to arrive; saves five cents too, besides) the polyclinic was relatively "uncrowded" at this time..(when it comes to the amk polyclinic, one can only refer to the no. of patients there under Degree of Crowdedness)

the staff were obviously well seasoned by now in dealing with potential SARS patients.. "do you have a fever?" "yes," i answered. immediately, i was issued a face mask, my temp taken, had my temp pasted as a sticker on my tee and was pointed to the special "fever patient" counter. no need to wait unlike normal consultation proceedures (need to take a num n wait for number to be called..) produced my blood donor card as usual, and was told to go to Rm 23. outside Rm 23, the whole section of seats had stickers loudly proclaiming 'RESERVED FOR RM23 PATIENTS ONLY'...quite impressive sia, the way our health authorities deals with the whole SARS thing..never actually realised how impressive they really were..until now.

eventually left the clinic, clutching three different types of pills..add that to the two im already taking for indigestion...that's what..SEVEN tablets to swallow THREE times EVERYDAY!!! Aarrrgghh...

mass today had a rather interesting 1st reading...about the prophet jonah, famously known as "the reluctant prophet" when he tried to run away from God's will by throwing himself into the sea...got swallowed up by a whale etc. i was quite amused at the part where Jonah was in this desert, and God made a castor plant grow where he was to provide him shade; only to arrange for a worm to destroy the plant the next day ;-)...(no, God isn't being mean..He was jus trying to teach Jonah a lesson) aniwae, the message to us is that sometimes we too may be reluctant to help others who are in better shape than ourselves; or ppl we adjudge to have had it easy in life, who've had little challenges to deal with, so we are reluctant to proclaim God's saving message to them...so yea, we musn't be unwilling, or even reluctant, prophets, bcoz God's salvation is for everyone. =)

tricked john into making a prank call to the SCDF...he wanted to call jenna instead (to give her some sai kang tt really is his own responsibility), but i gave him this number instead:

Nine...nine, five,..two...er, six, three, one (realising i only gave him seven numbers, i quickly added:) eight! keeping a straight face, i watched him dial the number; quickly shifting my dinner plate over to an empty table when he became deathly silent; eyes starting to bulge ;o)
raneth hopped off at 8:58 pm

Abt me...
i'm 22 liao..(getting old?) (going on)2nd yr n'us soci major :)

i love the outdoors, esp on a bike/with a ball at my feet
altho i haven't had much time 4 tt lately..

..and yes, look at the table - Now that's the way the EPL supposed to look!
